Leading the way in wood waste recycling & straw farming for biomass fuel
Wood waste can be problematic and many people are not aware of how useful it can be when harvested and recycled properly. Here at SJS Agriplant we can take wood waste in any form, bulk or shredded. Our wood processing plant will remove both ferrous and non ferrous metals from the wood chip. We can then use it to power our own boiler system for drying paper pulp or supply it to other biomass boiler users. We are one of only a small number of UK plants that has a license to dry paper.
This dried paper is a great alternative to straw for livestock bedding. It can also be spread over the land, as it is 100 percent biodegradable. You can thereby prevent your wood waste from going into landfill.
We also harvest straw, which we supply to straw-fired power stations to create renewable energy.

Wood recycling
We are accredited wood waste reprocessors. You can dispose of wood at our facility, and we will use it to fuel biomass boilers and dry paper pulp.
Green waste recycling
Green waste involves taking shrubs, trees, and other forms of arboriculture waste, shredding or chipping it, and then supplying it to power stations for it to be turned into renewable energy.
Wood chipping & shredding
SJS Agriplant can take wood of different grades and put it through our state-of-the-art processing machines. The wood is chipped and then used to produce heat for drying paper pulp, turning it into an alternative to straw for livestock bedding.
Renewable energy
We harvest and bale straw to be supplied to straw-fired power stations who create high-temperature, high-pressure steam, feeding it back to the national grid to power homes in the UK.
