Wood waste recycling for renewable energy
Here at SJS Agriplant, we are accredited reprocessors of wood waste. This means we can take your wood waste from you, using it to fuel our own biomass boilers and drying plant. This is a great way of ensuring your waste does not end up in a landfill and instead can benefit businesses and homes around the country.

From old furniture to discarded pallets, there are many different types of wood waste. If you run a business that deals with a lot of wood products, it is important to ensure you dispose of your wood items in a manner that makes sense for the world around us.
That is exactly what we are here to help with.
We have a wood waste recycling facility that enables us to use your wood waste so that we can fuel our drying plant and biomass boilers. This is a great way of doing your bit for the sustainability of the UK both now and in the future, as our efforts help to power UK properties and provide a great alternative to straw for livestock.
Types of wood we can accept
We accept all of the following types of wood for recycling:
- Board products – This includes door blanks, medium density fibreboard (MDF), and chipboard.
- Demolition timber – We can take clean demolition timber, such as joists and rafters.
- Untreated floorboards and mixed clean wood
- Timber cut-offs
- Cable drums
- Pallet wood – Broken or whole pallet wood accepted, as well as packaging cases

Materials we are not able to accept
There are a number of materials that we do not accept. This includes the following:
- Silicone and rubber in any format
- Plastic from plastic bottles, kitchen carcasses, and such like
- Any type of plastic
- Plastic planks on blue GKN pallets
- Concrete, bricks, rubble, or metal
- Garden decking
- Telegraph poles
- Railway sleepers
- Cane furniture, sofas, or any other type of textiles
- Any material that contains heavy metals
- Any material that contains halogenated organic compounds
Again, if you cannot see the material you have listed above, and you do not know whether or not we will accept it at our facility, all you need to do is give us a call or drop us an email and we will get back to you as soon as possible. We will be happy to talk to you about your requirements.
