Here at SJS Agriplant, we use wood chip to fuel our own biomass boilers, which will produce heat to dry paper mulch. This paper mulch would otherwise be heading for a landfill. Instead, we turn it into paper crumbs, creating an exceptional alternative to wood shavings or straw in terms of bedding for livestock. The result is hygienic, absorbent, and comfy bedding. We are only one of a few plants in the UK that has the ability to dry paper in this way, and our clients are delighted that their waste does not end up in a landfill and instead is put to much better use.

Our cutting-edge drying facility will create dried paper crumbs, which can be used as animal bedding then spread back onto the land, as the material is 100 per cent biodegradable.

We have a huge landfill issue in the UK, and around the world, at the moment. Even biodegradable materials going to landfills cause huge problems, as they are overflowing and damaging the environment.
We can also dry straw, wood chip, grain and other fibrous materials.
